Who I AM
I'm a senior production and creative operations leader with 14+ years of hands-on experience in photo and video production and 5+ years leading in-house studio teams. I've built production operations from the ground up, growing from a solo operation to a full in-house studio team. I know what it takes to build and run a high-functioning studio at scale.
My background spans the full production lifecycle: pre-production planning, budgeting, scheduling, on-set execution, post-production workflows, and final delivery. Because I've worked in nearly every production role at some point in my career, I lead with both strategic clarity and practical technical experience. I can step in wherever the team needs me: running camera, taking on a video edit, or presenting to executives.
What I do
In my current role as Senior Manager, Creative Operations, I oversee approximately 25 studio and on-location productions per year, producing 9,500+ assets annually across e-commerce, marketing, and brand campaigns. I lead a team of 3 direct reports and manage project-based partnerships including freelance creatives, vendors, talent, and agencies.
I'm responsible for a $500,000 annual production budget, handling everything from vendor negotiations and resource allocation to departmental forecasting and executive reporting. Through strategic process improvements, I've driven a 25% reduction in per-project production costs while improving creative output quality.
How I Lead
I build production teams that are responsible, skilled, and ready to adapt to the challenge. Strong teams don't happen by accident. They're built on clear communication, trust, empowerment, and the right systems. My leadership approach is grounded in:
End-to-end ownership — I manage production from the first planning conversation to final delivery, keeping stakeholders in the loop along the way
Hands-on support — I stay close to the work and step in as needed: solving a last-minute production challenge on set or jumping into an edit under a tight deadline
Mentorship and team development — I invest in my team's growth and create a safe space for people to learn from mistakes, take ownership, and do their best work
Cross-functional collaboration — I serve as the bridge between creative, marketing, operations, and executive leadership: translating high-level creative strategy into precise technical execution
How I Think
Production is problem-solving, and I genuinely love that part of the job. I'm at my best when building systems that make complex, high-volume work feel manageable, including workflow documentation, project management tools, vendor rosters, budget tracking, and DAM organization. I'm always looking for more ways to improve the process so the team can focus on making great work.
I bring a production-first perspective to every project: anticipating what could go wrong, planning for it, and communicating clearly when things shift. Whether I'm managing a multi-day location shoot or a high-volume studio sprint, I stay focused on quality and carrying the work across the finish line, on time and on budget.
